Supporting UK Communities: Our Charity Partnerships & Sponsorships

Think Hire, a division of Think Energy Group, backs initiatives that strengthen communities, support young people, and provide opportunities for those who need them across the UK. Our focus is on long-term partnerships with local sports clubs, charities, and community organisations in Darlington, Oldham, St Albans, and beyond that share our values of responsibility, integrity, and inclusion. We give back and invest in communities and future generations.

We align our social value activities with the UK Government's Social Value Model, with a focus on supporting wellbeing and inclusion, promoting health and physical activity, investing in local communities and youth development, and backing charitable causes and customer-led initiatives.

Annual Christmas Toy Appeal

Every festive season, our team comes together to help where it's needed most. We have an ongoing tradition of supporting a different children's charity each year, providing gifts and support for vulnerable children and families. We've worked with Meadows Care, Home Start Baby Bank, and Home Start Host, filling their spaces with the magic of the season and helping to make the holidays brighter for families in need.

John Williams Peaks Challenge

In June 2025, the Think Hire team took on the Peak District Ultra Challenge for a cause that matters deeply to us. Some colleagues walked the trail in Bakewell, others completed 15 miles in the gym, and some took on their own version elsewhere. We organised a fundraising campaign, and our suppliers donated too. We walked in support of our colleague and friend, John Williams, a brilliant engineer and exceptional person who left the company due to serious health challenges.

Theo Spinks, Muay Thai Champion

We've supported Theo from the start, watching him grow from a junior fighter into a professional sportsman. We were lucky to witness him being offered a place on Team GB for the Bangkok WMF World Championships and sponsor his journey to Bangkok, where he won a gold medal. We're proud to see his growth and success firsthand.

Old School Boxing, Darlington

We're proud to support Darlington Old School Boxing, a club that's not just building boxers but changing lives. Their work goes well beyond the ring: professional coaching with national competition opportunities, engagement with young people through youth justice and prevention services, support for refugees through inclusive health-focused training, subsidised access to ensure no child willing to learn is turned away, and coaching built around discipline, confidence, and anti-bullying. The club was recently recognised as a finalist in the Darlington Stronger Community Awards in the "Enhancing the Lives of Children and Young People" category.

Limehurst Lions

We sponsor Limehurst Lions, a community-run children's rugby club helping the kids of Limeside, Oldham develop a love for Rugby League. Supporting the future of local sports and building strong relationships with our community is what we're about.

Sundon Park Rangers FC

We're supporting Sundon Park Rangers, who play in the London Junior Premier League under-14s division. Supporting our local communities is at the heart of what we do. All letters matter in ESG, but S for Social is the one closest to ours.

Croftway Academy

We teamed up with Croftway Academy to sponsor their football team's new kits. Supporting young talent and giving back to the community is what we're about. Good luck to team Croftway throughout their season.
