You don't A BESS, such as the SiteGrid X200 can run on grid, a number of renewables or supported by back up generator and enables you to run your project much more efficiently, by minimising generator runtime if generator required, slashing fuel costs and avoiding carbon whilst reducing noise. By storing and generating power, a BESS can cater for peak power demand with a smaller generator, reducing operating costs significantly.
With 170kWh of energy storage and a peak power of 400kVA, a SiteGrid X200 can be grid tied or off grid and is ideal for powering infrastructure, construction and energy projects, including BESS sites, wind turbines, tower cranes, pumps and modular buildings.
The SiteGrid X200 uses peak shaving and load sharing to reduce the peaks and troughs of power demand. This allows you to meet your energy requirements with a much smaller generator, saving fuel and reducing emissions.
The SiteGrid X200 can store 170kWh of energy from any power source, including grid input during cost-effective off peak periods, solar energy during daylight hours, wind energy from on-site turbines and energy from a diesel, HVO, LPG or Hydrogen generator.
The SiteGrid X200 is designed to be fully portable, so it can be deployed rapidly to any on and off-grid location and moved quickly and easily as a project progresses. It has a lifting eye, and is skid mounted with pockets for forklift and telehandler forks.
Emissions can be reduced by up to 80% or more by deploying the energy stored and by running diesel generators at their most optimum load. This avoids constant idling and occasional overloading, and significantly reduces overall generator runtime.
