We've added a major new capability at Think Hire, a division of Think Energy Group HQ: a dedicated Load Simulation & Validation Bay.
Understanding how a battery energy storage system performs under real-world operating conditions has traditionally been challenging.
Testing loads such as the high inrush current of a tower crane, the cycling of a hoist or pump, or the constantly changing demands of a wind turbine has typically required either bringing the actual equipment to the test facility or relying on conventional load banks with limited instrumentation and data capture.
Our new simulation bay changes that.
We can now accurately replicate tower crane start-stop cycles, wind turbine power ramp up events and site-specific load profiles, all without needing the crane, turbine, or complete site infrastructure.

Every test is controlled, repeatable, and available on demand, allowing us to safely investigate challenging operating conditions such as rapid load transients and overcurrent events without putting equipment or personnel at risk.
Every test generates high-resolution data, including voltage, current, power, power factor, temperature, state of charge (SoC), and state of health (SoH) throughout realistic duty cycles.
Rather than simply confirming that a system works, we're able to demonstrate exactly how it performs.
This data becomes part of the unit's quality record and can be shared with customers as documented proof of performance before equipment leaves our yard, alongside the standard electrical certification.
The facility is already playing a key role in validating our new SiteGrid X200 assets, confirming a peak power capability of 400kVA for 10S, runtime, and performance data under demanding operating conditions before deployment.
What this means for our customers
- Faster commissioning – Load behaviour is validated before the unit arrives on site, reducing installation and commissioning time.
- Lower project risk – Critical operating scenarios and failover points are identified during testing rather than during live site operations.
- Fewer site visits and less rework – Potential issues are resolved before deployment, reducing costly return visits and project delays.
- Documented proof of performance – Customers receive comprehensive performance data to support warranties, tenders, client approvals, and project handover, in addition to a standard electrical certificate.
While many temporary power providers supply equipment and perform basic load testing, a few can accurately emulate complex, dynamic site loads while capturing this level of performance data.
Our Load Simulation & Validation Bay gives customers confidence that their system has already been proven under conditions that closely reflect the demands of their project, before it ever arrives on site.
At Think Energy Group, innovation doesn't stand still.
