Think Hire named Technology Provider of the Year

19 Oct, 2026

Think Hire, a division of Think Energy Group, has won Technology Provider of the Year at the inaugural edie Energy & Tech Awards 2026. The winners were announced on Friday 16 October 2026 at a ceremony in central London, attended by hundreds of sustainability and energy leaders.

About the edie Energy & Tech Awards

In edie's words, the Energy & Tech Awards celebrate the organisations, projects and individuals driving progress across the UK's energy transition, recognising innovation and leadership in clean energy, energy efficiency and decarbonisation.

Formerly known as the Net-Zero Awards, the event enters a new chapter in 2026 as the edie Energy & Tech Awards, reflecting the growing importance of energy and technology in accelerating business sustainability and the transition to net zero.

The Awards bring together businesses, technology providers and energy professionals to showcase the solutions helping to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable, secure and resilient energy system.

Entries were assessed by a panel of sustainability and decarbonisation experts. You can read edie's full coverage of the ceremony and the winners on the edie website.

What Think Hire does for customers

Think Hire provides relocatable off-grid and temporary power as a managed service, with integrated site delivery that brings the equipment, setup and support together.

Behind it sits the hardware that makes diesel-free power possible on difficult sites: the Solartainer Versatile, the world's first adaptable solar hybrid generator, and the advanced SiteGrid X BESS range. They now power construction sites, wind and solar farms, rail projects, highways, water infrastructure, tower cranes and mobile MRI units.

Keeping that fleet running is Think Energy Panorama, powered by the monitoring software of our technology partner, Galooli. It uses machine learning to predict faults, fix them without a site visit and optimise energy use across every unit we have out. 92% of issues across our fleet are now resolved remotely, up from 75% three years ago. That result comes from the platform plus our own algorithms and automations, built by our in-house developers on top of Galooli's software, with qualified Think Hire engineers overseeing the system around the clock.

We'd like the rest of the sector to move faster too. The quicker diesel is displaced, the bigger the gain.

Thank you

This award reflects the work of everyone at Think Hire who plans, delivers, monitors and maintains our equipment. We'd also like to thank our customers, who put their sites in our hands, and Galooli, our technology partner behind Think Energy Panorama. Thank you also to edie and the judging panel for the recognition.
