emost Partnership Proves the Quality of Our BESS Solutions

Picture Switzerland and you probably think of crisp, fresh air, dramatic, snow-capped mountains, lush Alpine meadows and crystal-clear bubbling streams. No wonder Switzerland is generally considered to be one of the cleanest, greenest countries in the world.

So when a company from a country where 98% of electricity is low-carbon chooses to import your clean energy technology, you know that you’re doing something right!

The Think Energy / emost Partnership

Think Energy have agreed to partner with Swiss portable energy hire company emost, in a mutual exchange of products and technology that will bring benefits to infrastructure and other sites in both countries.

Think Energy will be supplying our industry leading Solartainers and BESS solutions to the DACH market (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and emost will be supplying Think Energy with their compact and versatile trailer-based BESS solutions from their Butler range.

Who are emost?

emost began life as part of the renewable energy division of Axpo, Switzerland’s largest utility company. Axpo has a unique heritage and understanding of the Swiss energy sector, with unparalleled insights into grid operations, energy distribution challenges and the evolving needs of Switzerland's energy infrastructure.

emost became an independent company in 2022, with a mission to ‘provide innovative, reliable and sustainable energy solutions that empower businesses and communities to achieve energy independence.’

With emost and Think Energy Group sharing many of the same goals, our partnership was a natural progression for both companies. As well as sharing products across the two markets, we look forward to sharing ideas and innovations that will enhance the sustainability of Europe and the wider world.

Sending BESS Solutions and Solartainers to Switzerland

Under the initial stages of the agreement, Think Energy Group will be sending the top-of-the-range Solartainer XL, with its 110kVA battery, to Switzerland, along with X200 BESS solutions delivering an impressive 188kWh of storage. These will both be backed by Think Energy Group’s innovative, AI-driven energy management system, Think Energy Panorama.

In return, emost will be sending their fully portable, trailer-based BESS solutions – the Butler S, to add to the Think Hire fleet. Swiss-engineered, the trailer-mounted Butler S is compact and agile, delivering 50kVA from a 25kWh battery.

What Does This Mean for UK Customers?

Think Hire’s UK customer base will be able to hire the emost Butler S trailer mounted BESS solutions from mid-2027, with the larger, 100kVA, 125kWh Butler M to follow soon after.

This will make the range of BESS solutions available from Think Hire even more flexible and portable for our customers, especially those who need rapid deployment of power for urgent, off-grid operations.

Our existing range of BESS solutions already incorporates extensive portability features, including skid mounts, forklift pockets and lifting eyes. And now, by adding trailer mounted units to the fleet, we will be able to deliver clean, dependable, emission-free power to places even our current range cannot reach.

Choose the BESS Solutions the Swiss have chosen

If you were in any doubt about the environmental standards, efficiency and dependable clean energy delivery of Think Hire’s BESS solutions, then this partnership should more than put your mind at rest. If our BESS solutions are clean enough, and green enough, for one of the most climate conscious countries in the world, then they are certainly sustainable enough for your site.

To find out more about BESS solutions, ranging from 45kVA / 45kWh to 500kVA / 564kWh, along with the state-of-the-art solar energy generation of our Solartainer range, including the innovative Solatainer Versatile Glycerine, talk to the Think Hire team today.
