Onsite Electrician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Onsite Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified electrician with extensive commercial experience and the ability to provide electrical test certificates. As an Onsite Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe installation, maintenance, repair and testing of electrical systems in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in commercial settings.
  • Inspecting electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify hazards or defects.
  • Diagnosing electrical problems using various testing devices.
  • Performing electrical tests and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Issuing electrical test certificates and maintaining accurate records of inspections and test results.
  • Reading technical diagrams and blueprints to determine wiring layouts and specifications for installations or repairs.
  • Collaborating with other team members and contractors to ensure effective project completion.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
  • Providing guidance and recommendations for improving electrical systems and processes.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry standards and advancements in electrical technologies.

Qualifications

  • Fully qualified electrician with relevant certifications and licenses.
  • Proven experience working as an electrician in commercial settings.
  • Proficient in conducting electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Ability to provide electrical test certificates and maintain accurate records.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to perform tasks in various environments and conditions.

Ideal candidate will have additional certifications in specialized areas of electrical work. Prior experience working with specific tools and equipment relevant to commercial electrical work is also a plus.

Working Conditions
Please note that this position involves working onsite in commercial environments, requiring the ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions. Some projects may require overtime or work during weekends/holidays.
